Wow, it's been forever since I posted. Lots of doings in the past few years, way too many to go into in one entry.

In that time, I've.....moved, changed jobs (with a pay bump), since gotten a raise at that job, traded in my car, and the big one.....as of this morning, paid off all but $700 of my credit card debt!!!

I'll update the sidebar shortly, as goals are obviously different as is financial picture. But this was step 1 in the current plan.....Operation Buy an Apartment in NYC! Huge and scary. But I'm soon to be 40, and finally feeling stable enough in life to do so. And it's an overall smart move, I'll be paying my own mortgage, rather than someone else's, building equity and getting (minimal) tax breaks, all while paying essentially the same for a 2 bedroom as I currently pay in rent for a 1 bedroom.

Credit score has increased in the last few years but not significantly. Dent/utilization had, though....and so by going from around 70% utilization to about 10%, hoping that bumps my credit up enough to get a better mortgage rate. I'm going to wait until early October to get a pre-approval, and then begin looking at places. I'll be carefully monitoring my credit score in the meantime!!!!

Cards are coming out of my wallet and being left at Mom's house. Cashflowing everything from here on out unless it's an isolated incident like a business trip where I'll be reimbursed etc.

Exciting stuff! Scary too hahaha.Looking forward to start building towards a positive net worth.
